It turned out that the Wolf Pack had not been completely wiped out. In the initial charge, Franklin had been knocked out cold. Aside from a bump on the head, he was unharmed. Adams too survived, though his knees had been smashed with a bat and he would not be able to walk well ever again. Several days after the battle, the Kings body washed up on the shores of the lake. He had drowned tyring to swim away. Adams decided that he wanted to become the new King of New Eden and since none of the remaining hippies objected, he did so. His first act was to rename New Eden to Wolfland and it’s capital to Wolvesden. I decided it was time for me to go home. Her sisters and father dead, Moonshine asked to come with me. Believing that her name sounded stupid for a Los Angeles woman, she decided that I should call her Elizabeth.
