Illumitas is a tool that can help you publish your novel online by formatting your literary work into web pages. Not only can you publish a text, but Illumitas also lets you include illustrations. Furthermore, Illumitas also allows you to insert advertisements so that you can profit by your work.
After you’ve signed up for your account, you start by creating an Illumitas book. This book is virtual file folder that holds the various aspects of what will become your online version of your work. While creating it, you give the book a name that will become the title of the book. You also specify the byline and can optionally include an email address that your readers will be able to use to contact you.
Once you’ve created this book, you can then add the text content, illustrations, and advertisements.
When you feel that your book is complete enough, you can have Illumitas generate all to the files necessary to publish your novel to the web. Illumitas will handle such things as pagination, table of contents, linking, etc. You download these files to your computer in a zip file.
Contained in the zip are all of the files you will need to publish your literary work on the web. You only need to unzip the files and upload them to your site.
